Latasha Williams

About Me

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Nashville. I earned my Master of Social Work degree, specializing in mental health, from the University of Southern California. I have worked with individuals who have a variety of physical disabilities and mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders and polysubstance abuse. I also have experience working with LGBT individuals, offering counseling for interpersonal relationship issues and other life stressors including trauma/abuse and stress management. Additionally, I have worked with individuals and couples to attain skills that foster healthy development of peer, romantic partnership, marriage and family relationships.

Counseling can be a vital component of a person’s whole health, as it supports understanding of one’s own life experiences that have a direct influence on each person’s continuing journey. My approach to counseling is collaborative. I encourage everyone to consider counseling with a skilled clinician whose experience and therapeutic style is a suitable fit for his or her needs. Through counseling, individuals can gain valuable support and learn tools to manage the daily stressors of life. I enjoy helping my clients navigate their life paths. I would be honored to have the opportunity to work with you!

I feel safe talking to Tasha. We connected right away. She is very understanding and empathetic. I feel very comfortable opening up to her about things I’ve been suppressing since childhood. She is helping me over come my fears and trauma. She is very responsive and supportive.

I’m grateful I was matched with Latasha (through BetterHelp). She is understanding, easy to talk to, supportive, and has helpful insights. She connected easily with my issues while creating space for me to sift through my confusion on my own terms. I highly recommend her!
