About me

Hi, my name is Laura Pearson. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia with over seven years experience. I have worked with clients with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, relationship issues, parenting problems, life change difficulties, and grief/loss. I am so glad that you are exploring options to help you become a healthier individual, and I know that finding the right therapist that you can connect with is a daunting, but vital key to your success in reaching your goals. I would love the opportunity to come alongside of you on this journey and offer you guidance and support.

I am a warm, empathetic counselor who strives to convey care, compassion, and respect to each client as a unique individual. My approach to counseling is a holistic outlook that tends to the whole person. I utilize a combination of therapeutic approaches to tailor your therapy to where you are and help you move forward into more healing and wholeness. Although I pull from a variety of theories, I use a systems approach and CBT often. I also have training in Strategic Trauma and Abuse Recovery (S.T.A.R.) for the treatment of traumatic experiences.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Laura Pearson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Laura is THE best therapist I have ever had. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and warm-hearted. She is so in tune with my needs, and I truly appreciate how she stays up-to-date with the latest trends in therapy. She makes me feel taken care of, and my time with her has given me confidence that I can handle what life throws at me! I can honestly say that my time with her has been transformational. I’m sad and happy that she’s leaving BetterHelp. I know wherever she goes, she will be changing lives. She’s definitely doing God’s work here. I’m excited to see where my journey with her ends.
