About me

I have over 30 years of experience helping clients sort out and resolve emotional roadblocks so they can move on to reach their ideals of a good life. I started out counseling alcohol-addicted clients and from there to working with physically and sexually abused clients to working with couples and families where anxiety and depression was common.
I approach therapy with what strengths you already have and work on correcting any thinking errors and promoting your emotional skills toward making better choices for yourself. I feel honored and humbled when my clients feel safe enough to share their hurts, their poor choices, and their misgivings about themselves. I use my skills to support you doing the hard work of therapy.
My personal background includes being raised as one of seven children in a military family, having a child of my own and adopting his child, being divorced and then widowed. I ran my own professional counseling business and provided a nurturing environment for other counselors to grow their own practices.

Dr. Jones is great! She really listens to what I am saying and makes me question my unhealthy ways of thinking in a way that makes me feel supported!
