I know asking for help is not always the easiest thing to do and I seek to honor the effort it takes to stretch, grow, change and open yourself up in order to reach out. I love working with families, couples and individuals alike. I am a well seasoned therapist with over 20 years of experience helping others with many and varied challenges in their lives. As a Family Therapist, I believe life is all about relationships and connection and this gives me a unique and valuable perspective most individual therapists may not have. I have experience helping people recover from trauma, deal with grief and loss and restore broken relationships. I specialize in helping clients work toward life balance, working from wherever they are to wherever they want to be. I am authentic, non-judgmental, honest, hilarious (or at least I think I am), and look forward to helping you on your journey.
I will be available to work with you on Monday through Friday (I take Saturdays and Sundays off) via live chat, asynchronous texting, phone or video. I currently live and travel in my small motorhome in the West and Southwest so my time zone may be a bit different than yours, which is often advantageous. I grew up in California (please don't hold that against me as I left as soon as I could) and I have lived in WI, UT, AZ, GA and Alaska (at the Top of the World in Barrow).
I look forward to speaking with you.

Lauren has been an instrumental part of my healing over the last couple of years. She listens to where I’m at each week and offers insights, questions, and understanding to help me process through my situation and move into a healthier mindset and state of living. She’s given me tools to assess, challenge, and grow in many areas, and has always been a safe place for me to process.
She is kind, an attentive listener, a challenger in the best ways, and always honest — even when I have a hard time being honest with myself.

I feel that after completing the info to get matched with a therapist that Lauren is a great match for me. She brings me clarity to situations and she also encourages me to do the work on my own.
I feel that I have grown to so much and that I have become so much stronger with her guidance.
I did realize the narcissist tendencies that were going on with my husband. Lauren opened me up to a lot more emotional abuse that was happening. She helped me understand my feelings. And she helped me on a path forward. I have referred Better Help to so many people.

Lauren has been so incredibly helpful to me. I'm feeling like she was the perfect fit for me as a therapist. I've had a challenging couple of years, and finally got to the point where I recognized I needed help. Lauren is the second therapist I've worked with through BetterHelp, and has turned out to be exactly what I needed. At this particular time in this year, I'd feel truly lost without her. Each time we talk, I find multiple benefits from the session.
She's an incredibly good listener, always makes me feel truly heard. She's very skillful at guiding me through rough patches and past obstacles by giving me constructive tips and tools to use to work through them. She follows up on these things, too.
She's very professional, always on time, and very well-organized. She's so good at this that it often doesn't really feel like online therapy, because it's so personalized and tailored to my needs. I am so thankful to have found her when I decided to switch and try someone new.

Lauren is Great! I’ve never done therapy before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but she’s been a great guide through the whole process and helped me build the tools to get back to being me!
