I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the state of North Carolina. I began my journey into social work and counseling after being honorably discharged from the US Army in 2006. Due to a lengthy combat tour overseas in Iraq, I was able to gain firsthand knowledge and understanding about the devastating effects Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. Close friends of mine were irrevocably changed before my eyes, and I needed to understand why that transition took place. I utilized my G.I. Bill and obtained my Master’s Degree. I have been in the social work field for over five years, working in various settings: veteran’s programs, residential treatment facilities for youth, outpatient treatment and a substance abuse treatment facility. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care.
My belief is that real change can occur in one’s life when they work with a therapist who is genuine and unbiased; someone who has a desire to see others moving forward and living their lives to the fullest. It would be a true honor to be that individual for you or your loved one.

I believe this is a great space to declutter your mind and find guidance. Although nothing would beat live in person counseling, the video conference is a great alternative.
Leah is amazing. Very attentive, personal, and calming. I’ve loved working with her so far.
Leah gives carefully considered and detailed responses to my long trains of thoughts that morph into other tangents that she also never forgets to address. This form of communication for therapy has been working better for me as I have found it hard to speak my thoughts and just typing them down gives me time time to think as I go. Hoping it’s not to inconvenient! Will eventually hope to call her someday to talk in person. I have started thinking about some of my problems from different angles, which helps.
Leah is so easy to talk to about anything. I was nervous but she put me at ease. She is not judgmental and hears what you are saying and puts you at ease and provides constructive feedback. I recommend her wholeheartedly!
Very pleasant and understanding she listens to what I am saying and provides solutions for me.
I have only had 2 sessions with Leah but she listens so well. She is also funny and personable so I don’t feel like I’m talking to a dry person simply taking notes on my problems. I’d recommend her to anyone!
Leah helped me identify why I was feeling so much pain and hurt from a recent fallout. She’s supportive and a good listener.
She is awesome, and always makes me look forward to sessions and always listens to me. Couldn’t ask for more help from someone.
Leah is very compassionate and helpful. She both directs the discussion AND listens well and remembers what you tell her. She's also VERY responsive. You don't have to wait a long time to get a reply.
