About me

I am an individual, family and couples' counselor licensed in Indiana. I obtained a Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University and hold the licensure of Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, life stage adjustments, career challenges, PTSD, OCD and ADHD.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I am non-judgmental and I believe in treating each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. As a practitioner I believe that you are the expert on you. This means that we will work together to identify what your goals are for therapy, and what strengths and resources you have or need for achieving those goals. I often use a mindfulness-based cognitive or dialectical behavioral approach and apply tenets in my work from all theories of psychology and social work. I am experienced in trauma-focused treatment, and am trained in EMDR, which I utilize to explore and help resolve symptoms of trauma and/or PTSD.

Whether it is happiness that you seek, emotional fulfillment, a change in your circumstances or merely help in processing the intricacies of the human experience, I will be here to support you.
I look forward to working with you!

From the get go, Leigh creates a safe and open space to feel comfortable expressing yourself. She is supportive and encouraging and has been helpful in guiding me through feelings or situations that I don't quite understand yet. She has made our sessions very much a collaborative conversation, and although I have only had a couple of sessions with her, she creates such a comfortable space that I feel like we've been meeting for years.

Leigh is a kind, thoughtful, and helpful counselor. She has a way of speaking to you on your level and listening appropriately and actively. I know that much of what makes counseling work is developing and finding a good relationship that clicks; I am lucky in the fact that I think Leigh and I understand one another. I can't speak highly enough of her.
