About me

Welcome to Better Help, and thank you for taking the first step to finding support for challenges you may be having in your life. My sincere hope is to help you work through issues that come up at all stages of live to build resilience, coping strategies and to build on existing strengths.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina who has over 20 years of experiences in a variety of settings. I completed my undergraduate and graduate program in Social Work at Florida State University. My areas of expertise are working with couples, families, individuals (adults and children) and groups who are experiencing discontent with their lives. I believe that drilling down into the dynamics of a relationship, a personality and behaviors will illuminate factors the client has the power to change. I offer short term, solution focused therapy that is client centered. My modality is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that allows changes to be made in a client's life that the therapist can support.

I have been married for many years and have 4 children, three of which were born on the same day. I have experience with fertility issues, parenting challenges and currently work as a middle school counselor, so I am well aware of the affects the pandemic has and continues to have on our youth. Please allow me to walk with you on your quest to change your life!

She’s been very helpful to my mental health. I’ve grown a lot since I’ve started seeing her and I can see it in myself. She’s been amazing to go to and sometimes if I’m too distracted by school she’ll check on me instead of just waiting for me to make an appointment. I fully appreciate her
