About me

Hello there!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Missouri. I attended MidAmerica Nazarene University and received my masters degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Couple, and Family. My undergrad was in Psychology. I have years of experience helping people of all ages with concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, parental concerns, family and relationship issues, and much more.

In addition to being an LPC I am also a Board Certified Nationally Certified Counselor. My education and experience is in all aspects of the individual, family, and couple dynamics. I am Anger Management Certified, Trauma Focused Certified, a Registered Play Therapist, Prepare and Enrich Certified, and offer DBT services.

As a part of my masters degree we were required to attend sessions of our own counseling with a therapist to see what it was like as a client and not just a therapist. When I researched for my therapist I was extremely picky about who I chose. I wanted them to not only have the ability to listen, but also have the ability to offer skills that could actually be applied to my everyday life. That is exactly the treatment I offer my clients as well.

My therapy style is eclectic based off what works best for your style and need, but I have a strong background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have years of experience and treat each client as an individual. I offer tailored treatment plans based off your needs.

I would love to walk with you in your journey to self-improvement.

I've been working with Leslie for a few months. She is the first therapist I feel that really understands me. I look forward to our sessions and feel comfortable with her. Would definitely recommend her.

Leslie is incredibly thoughtful and kind. She listens and responds with the right kind of questions that allow you to examine your situation from a different perspective and dig deeper into things you might not have considered before. She provides great tools and recommendations and is just very easy to talk to.

She is very respectful. Listens. But also gives great advice and tools for me to use in every day life.
