My belief is that everyone has the capacity to change, confront challenges and grow each day. Therapy is a tool that can help people find their capacity to change. My counseling practice respects that power to change in each person. My counseling approach is rather eclectic involving both client centered and existential theory. I utilize a personalized approach combining interventions from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, motivational interviewing and choice theory tailored to meet your individual needs. I am passionate about working with clients and helping them discover new, healthier ways to address their mental health needs. When appropriate spirituality is infused in the counseling process. Treatment is data driven and evidence based.
I have experience working in hospital and community settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults on issues such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and trauma.

I don't know if I would have been able to overcome the hurdles I needed to, if I didn't have Leslie asking all of the right questions. She helped ME come to my own conclusions, and that is priceless. Thank you, Leslie!

I never thought that so many things get buried in oneself that later causes destruction. My counseling sessions made look at what really is the problem and to address it.

Leslie has been a lifesaver to me...this is not an exaggeration. I started having sessions with Leslie several years ago. Over the course of those years she has helped me to navigate several issues. Without her help, I doubt I would have made it through in a peaceful and healthy manner.

Leslie is the therapist I have been seeking for years! She listens, responds thoughtfully (and doesn't just nod and say "mmhmm"), remembers and can relate different things I've said in the past together, and gives me really helpful feedback, worksheets, and actionable information. She makes me feel truly seen and has helped me through some very dark times. I'm so grateful I found her!

I used to think therapy was only for crazy people, but ever since I’ve started talking with Leslie, I have been asking myself “why didn’t I do this earlier?”, honestly a life saver and one of the best decisions I’ve made

As a male who connects with females better than other men, it is important to find that person that understands me. Since the first time talking to Leslie I quickly found out that I’d be very comfortable. Leslie didn’t make me feel like I was in the typical “sitting on the couch and being asked how I felt” type counseling. She engaged in my concerns and frustrations like a good friend would. All the while she was therapeutically asking questions. I’ve been in front of several different psychiatrists and counselors and always felt alone cause they didn’t get how I felt, it wasn’t this way with Leslie. The way she talked reminded me of someone who’s been there and dealt with similar issues. For someone who needs the friend-like dialogue while getting therapy; Leslie is your go to. After each session I dont feel like I’ve been judged, I feel like my feelings are valid and I’m not wrong for feeling that way. I give her 5 stars because she’s easy to talk to, responds quickly, initiates contact (which reminds me of someone who cares about me and is checking in to make sure I’m ok), she laughs, she’s real, she doesn’t shove the therapeutic script at you and she lets you be who you are!

I feel like she really understands everything I’m saying even if it might not make complete sense. Even if she doesn’t fully understand she works to make sure she knows what I’m trying to say to give me the best feedback. She’s been very encouraging and supportive!

The word “astute” just barely scratches the surface when trying to describe her. My experience with Leslie has already brought a lot of fresh insights into the fold that I was likely barricading myself from by unconsciously working my defense mechanisms. She’s pretty awesome. Very grateful to have her on my team.

She has given me some great exercises/homework to help me think through some of my struggles. She pays attention and is able to reference things we have talked about in previous sessions and tie things together. I looked forward to my sessions each week and feel much better after we've spoken.

I am very happy to work with Leslie. From the beginning she was very supportive and was able to gain my trust immediately. With her professional expertise, she was able to come to the point directly and show me different angles and new ways of thinking. She responds very fast to my questions and we are in contact on a daily base. I had concerns about to consult a therapist online, but due to my living circumstances it was more or less the only alternative. After working with Leslie, I found it even more suitable, than a classic therapy, where you see your counselor at longer time periods. I personally see Leslie more than an expert coach, who supports me on a daily base and helps to achieve my goals day by day. I only can recommend to work with her.
