Leslie Weiss, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Addictions Counselor licensed in New York and Maine. I have over 25 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression/mood disorders, anxiety, substance dependence, anger management, grief and loss, and relationship issues. I also have helped many people who have experienced physical and or emotional abuse.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and solution focused therapy, mindfulness and creative writing. My counseling style is warm, interactive, client centered and empathetic. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity and compassion and to work together as a team to achieve your goals and help create positive change in your life.
It takes courage to seek counseling and to work on the issues that are impacting your quality of life. Counseling can be challenging, however, it also can be extremely empowering and life changing.
I look forward to working with you.
