About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas. I am the spouse of an Army Veteran and the mother of an Army soldier. We have a boxer, and my idea of downtime is a long road trip with an inspiring playlist.

I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and completed nearly 10,000 clinical hours for the treatment of mental health, substance abuse, and addiction related issues.

My career extends over 14 years helping others overcome co-occurring disorders such as depression & anxiety, PTSD and substance abuse/addiction, relationship/familial concerns, and unresolved grief and loss from poverty, abuse and neglect, generational traumas, migration, acculturation, and violence.

My personality is genuine and empathetic. My approach is authentic and easy-going. I help my clients by knowing that one method does not work for everyone. For those reasons, my theoretical approach is comprehensive and includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical & Behavioral Therapy, among others.

I look forward to working with you.
