About Me

Hello! My name is Linda. I use she/her pronouns. I’ve been a mental health provider since 2004. Prior to that I worked as a maternity care coordinator at our local health department in Asheville, NC. I went back to school at midlife after witnessing the value of a strong community emotional wellness system in addition to services for one’s physical health. Following graduate school, I began working with children, adolescents, families, and adults in southwestern New Hampshire. For five years I traveled throughout three states providing home and community-based services to deployment cycle service members and their families. Prior to going full time with BetterHelp, I worked as a high school based mental health provider while we all transitioned through this current pandemic.

As a licensed clinical social worker, my approach is client centered, focusing on one’s strengths and natural environments. Along the way I have learned strategies that are time-proven for positive results such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Centered Treatment, Alternatives for Families - CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy. More recently, I’ve been studying the practice of Mindfulness, which allows us to slow down and enjoy our human experience without judgment, building on our kindness towards self and the world around us.

We heal through our relationship with others. It is a part of being human. I look forward to meeting you and learning about the people and things that are most important to you. It is a joy for me to spend time with all kinds of people. In partnership, we will develop goals for you to build upon towards achieving your bigger dreams.

Linda helped me to get to a really serene and happy place. Where other therapists were unable or unwilling to see signs of depression and adhd, Linda was. I’ve had sessions with four therapists on this platform and Linda has by far been the best! She is warm, nonjudgmental, and attentive (which is SO appreciated). I enjoyed our sessions so much that my boyfriend decided to switch to having her as his therapist as well. You won’t regret picking Linda. :)

For the time I have worked with Linda I have felt like my needs and my concerns were listened to way more than any in person therapy. Even when I'm alittle late to start the session I still have full attention and respect. Linda has talked to me about alot of important subjects and given me resources to calm my anxiety and be mindful. I haven't had to urgently tell her anything since a week ago and I used to tell her bad stuff that would happen everyday. I feel Linda has helped me understand my emotions better and see validation in them rather than be bothered.

I've only had a short time with Linda and she is not judgemental of me at all and that was my biggest worry about my specific problem. She does a wonderful job remembering small details I wouldn't expect. I will be staying with her as long as I can.

Linda was easily the best therapist that I’ve worked with through BetterHelp. She was extremely responsive and always had some insight or helpful words. Although our time together was short(I am feeling confident and good enough to stop therapy at the moment) she was impactful. I would highly recommend BetterHelp and Linda to anyone. She was nice, caring, thoughtful, listened really well, and just had a really nice soft presence. I would have been very pleased if I had to continue working with her, and definitely could tackle any situation with her help.
