Hi there. Thank you for being curious about my profile. I appreciate the difficulty involved in reaching out for help and support.
I lived in Rhode Island and had a therapy practice in Bristol, RI for years. I relocated to Salem, New Hampshire about 3 years ago. I maintain my RI license and also hold a license in NH.
I have had a long career in human services and have had my own practice as a therapist for over 10 years. I am a mature therapist, both in years and experience.
My experience has been with individuals with anxiety, panic symptoms, fears and phobias, depression symptoms such as low motivation, family and relationship stress, and self-esteem and confidence issues.
My approach is first to establish trust with you, then to help you crystallize what you want to be different in your life. After you have that clarity, we will add tools to your toolbox that you can use to make the changes you desire.
I have a clinical supervisor with whom I discuss symptoms. I do not disclose any identifying information so as to protect confidentiality for my clients. Most clinicians have regular supervision and I feel it is necessary to have another professional's perspective, advice, and support as part of my career. When you sign the agreement to work with me you are agreeing to my continued professional relationship with my supervisor that may include discussing one or more of your symptoms. And you are also benefitting from another experienced clinician's advice. Unless I were to have a signed release from you, I am ethically prohibited from disclosing any personal information of yours that would identify you.
It’s not easy making changes in our lives, but I will give you the support, encouragement, strategies and feedback along the way that will make the process easier and more likely that you will succeed with your goals.

Linda is caring and supportive and a wonderful listener - she's a strong and graceful presence
Linda O’Malley is a wonderful therapist. She listens, reflects back my concerns and then gives me tools to address my problems. She is warm and caring.
Linda is a very thoughtful and experienced therapist. She always listens to my concerns and gives helpful advice. I strongly recommend her!
Linda is my safe place. I want her to be my therapist for forever
Having Linda as my counselor has truly been a gift. She is so caring and kind. She guides me in a gentle way and asks questions that prompt me to think about what I can do to live a healthier and more fulfilled life. Linda helped me with career decisions and difficult work and personal issues. She helped me to grieve the loss of my mother, and to create mental space to finish writing a book about my mom after years of trying. With her guidance, I have modified daily activities that have improved my sleep and reduced my anxiety. I feel calmer and more grounded. I am now able to intentionally think about what is best for me. For instance, what I want the last third of my career and retirement to look like and begin planning for it. I am sad that I could not continue with Linda because she no longer sees clients who live in MA. I am so grateful to Linda and feel extremely fortunate to have had the past 8 months with her.
Linda is intuitive and understands situations I explain to her very well! I feel like she recognizes what I need and how to help me.
Linda has changed my life for the better! I have worked with her for about a year and a half and I attribute much of my progress and positive change to her support and advice. She has been especially supportive to me in one of the most difficult periods of my life. Linda has given me the techniques and skills necessary to live a happier life. If I had to describe her in one word, it would be: exceptional.
Linda has been wonderful so far! I know I’m still at the beginning of my therapy journey and overcoming social anxiety, but Linda has been very supportive and validates my feelings and I trust her. I’m not scared to be open and vulnerable about my fears and feelings, and I’m really looking forward to my next session and the work that I’ll be doing to better myself between sessions.
Linda is extremely knowledgeable about the therapy that will be most helpful for me. She sends me articles , immediately , after
our sessions. This helps with reinforcing what we have discussed and allowing me to continue my reading and practice that will allow me future success.
Linda has helped me so much I am forever thankful. I continue to evolve and appreciate myself through sessions with her. Truly, transforming!
I appreciate so much that Linda understands my schedule, and doesn't fault me if I don't keep consistent weekly calls. She is kind and listens, but also really wants me to work on things to be a better me for myself first.
Linda has been an amazing help with what I have brought to her
Linda is my savior and everything I’ve wanted in a therapist. She understands exactly what I need even when I don’t. Would highly recommend and am so grateful for everything’s she’s done for me.
She is amazing and has really helped me with my struggles.
Linda helps me see things from a different perspective and challenges me to think about things differently than I’m used to. She always provides me with helpful ideas and resources.
Linda is very helpful making me see things through another perspective and showing me the tools I need to cope with stressors in a healthy way
Absolutely amazing she truly cares about my needs and help me feel better about myself

I was immediately comfortable and confident in Linda. She checks in routinely and ensures my well being.
