With 25 years of experience, Linda Spielman specializes in helping adolescents, young adults, and parents. She is intensively trained by the Linehan Institute in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and co-founded the first DBT practice in Austin, Texas (2005-2024). In addition, she provides a trauma-informed psychodynamic approach.
Linda's warm authentic style creates a safe space to process sensitive topics, overcome challenges and create lasting change.
After a guest appearance on The Today Show, she produced an instructional DVD, "Teens who Self-Injure." She's trained hundreds of school counselors, teachers and nurses on the topic. Her three years of post-graduate studies include Family Systems, Mindfulness and Attachment therapy.
