Linda Williams, LPC
About me
I am licensed professional counselor in Missouri with 21 years of professional work experience. My goal is to help you expand your conscious awareness by living more radically open and developing a healthier relationship with your thoughts. Rather than fighting your internal experiences, I help clients build the capacity to turn toward them with curiosity, courage, and compassion. Many people come to therapy wanting relief from anxiety. While anxiety can feel overwhelming, I focus on something deeper: avoidance. Avoidance is often what keeps anxiety alive. When we organize our lives around trying not to feel discomfort—avoiding conflict, vulnerability, uncertainty, rejection, or failure—we unintentionally shrink our world.
I believe much of our suffering is not caused by our emotions themselves, but by how we relate to them. Depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and stress are deeply human experiences. When we respond to them with avoidance, perfectionism, self-criticism, or rigid boundaries, we can unintentionally deepen our pain and limit our lives. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, self esteem, coping skills for stress management, avoidance, mal adaptive perfectionism, life goals, anger management, relationship struggles

Linda is wonderful we've just started working together but I have already felt such a great connection with her and her style of help. I would reccomend her a million times over.
