About me

Hello! My name is Lindsey and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: inpatient addiction treatment, working with survivors of human trafficking and seeing clients in a private practice setting. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee.
As a therapist, my goal is to bring hope, acceptance, and healing to those who are hurting or facing difficult life challenges. I emphasize an approach that is focused on you, the client, in an honest, safe, and collaborative process that will help you to maximize your innate capacity for wellness. We will work together, utilizing the resources and strengths that you bring, to help you to identify and obtain your goals.
I integrate a number of effective approaches in my work, though this often depends on the needs of the individual. Central to my approach is the belief each of us is designed to seek deep connection with one another and that life’s difficulties are often caused by unmet psychological and emotional needs. These needs can often be identified during the therapy process and lead to more fulfilling relationships and overall increased well-being.
Areas of specialty include treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, adoption related concerns, self-esteem, and those generally feeling stuck in life. I have experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults in a safe and nurturing setting. Please contact me to discuss how you can work towards finding the life that you deserve.
