About Me
Hi there! My name is Lindsey Schwenk and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana and a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Clinical Practice Supervisor (LISW-CP S) in South Carolina. I earned by Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Southern Indiana and have been working in the field since 2013. I have worked in many different areas of the field including school based social work, crisis intervention, emergency room/hospital social work, law enforcement, and individual/group counseling.
I enjoy meeting my clients where they are and making sure they are comfortable with all the steps we take together. I pride myself on being very approachable and friendly in an effort to build strong relationships with my clients . I enjoy helping individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life changes using an eclectic combination of evidence based practices. I specialize in working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, in addition to my extensive professional experience working with first responders. I currently live in the Charleston, SC area with my husband and toddler son. We share our home a crazy dog and a lazy cat (who occasionally makes appearances during sessions).
I usually check messages at least once a day, five days per week. At this time I am only able to offer live chat, phone, and video sessions in the late evenings as I work full-time during the day. I may have additional availability depending on the week and would be happy to try and work out meeting at another time. Simply message me and we can discuss these options.
Can't wait to meet you!
Lindsey

Reviews
I wasn't sure if I would be comfortable doing therapy over the phone, but Lindsey made it really comfortable. She was really easy to talk to even from the beginning. I really felt completely heard and understood by Lindsey. And often times she understood me better than myself, and asked questions that helped me look at my anxiety and relationships in new ways.
I would recommend working with Lindsey to anyone!
Lindsey is a kind and compassionate person, who listens very well and have some good advice. She makes you feel at ease about talking to a counselor very easily.
