About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor with over 6 years of experience ( 3 years Bachelor's level and three years Master's level) in North Dakota working as a therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, Anger Management and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and dialectical behavioral therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

She helps by being able to see the whole problem, I tend to focus on details and try to fix them. It hasn't been long but it's a lot more progress than my first attempt at therapy.

Awesome to talk to. I'm not usually talkative but she is a great listener and has great ways skills to help me with.

I have only been with Lisa for two weeks maybe three?! And I already feel so safe with her like in a way I know I can tell her stuff and she won’t judge me. Or view me differently but instead she’s there for me. I am looking forward to this journey with BetterHelp & having Lisa as my counselor for I actually believe for once I finally might actually get the help I have needed for quite some time now!!

I usually have to spend a lot of time explaining to counselors how to avoid seeing my life and experiences through a lens of dated moral standards and bigotry. A lot of them mean well, but when I’m here for help, it’s pretty exhausting to be the one educating a counselor on how to keep with the times. I have not had that problem with Lisa. The first time I told her I wasn’t comfortable with a certain idea (and why), she immediately understood and changed her language accordingly. She’s always open to new ideas and listens without judgment, and that means a lot to me.

Lisa is an absolutely amazing counselor who shows genuine care and concern to me. She has gone out of her way to accommodate me with regards to live sessions. She has a beautiful way of making a person feel very comfortable, and she is also very jolly and light hearted. I would venture to say that she is an invaluable asset for Betterhelp as a counselor. In a nutshell, she is absolutely and totally awesome!

She’s incredibly smart. It’s been about 5 months now, and I’m thoroughly impressed with her knowledge, AND her listening skills. She listens to every single word I say. I know she’s not on the other end of the phone, playing a game or texting. Highly recommend!

Lisa is patient, non-judging and warm. She brings a kind energy to tough situations and encourages me to keep sharing. I'm very grateful to her for being there and sharing advice when I'm struggling. Really, knowing her warm energy is there makes getting through tough times easier, just knowing that I'm not alone.
