About me

My name is Lisa Anderson and I am one of the rare few who can claim to be a Nashville native. I have worked in the mental health and substance use treatment field for over 24 years in the middle Tennessee area. I have worked in a variety of settings such as inpatient psychiatric units, co-occurring disorders treatment programs, and community mental health centers with a vast array of clients and client issues.

One of my favorite areas of expertise is working with trauma survivors utilizing the principles of trauma-informed care. I have worked extensively with adult clients, including clients who identify as female, male, non-binary, and transgender. I have received training in many different therapeutic approaches including Brainspotting, EMDR, DBT, CBT, Psychodrama, and SomEx to name a few. I have a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work in Nashville. I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

As a Nashville native, I feel privileged to provide therapeutic services to individuals not only in the middle Tennessee area but throughout the entire state. I believe that quality mental health services are a hallmark of a great community at-large. I would be honored to walk along side you during a part of your life journey and partner with you in achieving the goals and aspirations you have for your life.
