"Hope is the feeling you have that the feeling you have isn't permanent." This quote by Jean Kerr is the reason I do what I do. Hope is a powerful feeling that is unfortunately all too easy to lose sight of. Let's work together to restore hopefulness and make the life changes that best serve you. I strive to help clients learn to cope with difficulty and live productively. I believe that to lead a fulfilling life, people need to feel supported and know that stress and conflict can be managed.
It is empowering to explore thoughts and understand the impact they have on our feelings and behaviors. The benefit of this process is learning how to shift our thinking so that even if the situation cannot change, our response to it can! I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in the Chicago area. working as an individual, couples and family therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, life transitions, career challenges, OCD and ADHD.
Life presents challenges that can cause us to become stuck in certain moments because of fear or just not knowing what direction to go. I offer empathetic and supportive services to help clients manage through those times. By working collaboratively to identify and acknowledge the current issues, a trusting and safe environment is created. That environment provides the opportunity for self reflection, challenging and changing of negative thought patterns, bringing about positive change and moving forward.

Lisa has helped change my life completely around! She’s not afraid to agree with me when I’m right and not afraid to disagree when I’m wrong. With her guidance I have a new outlook on life, I wish everyone could have as great of an experience as I have had with a therapist!

Lisa has helped me manage several major changes in my life. She is thoughtful in her responses and is always there to check-in via video or messaging, which I so appreciate for consistency. She is truly understanding, empathetic and offers sound strategies for stress management, anxiety and depression. In a world that rapidly recalibrated post-pandemic, Lisa met the successive demands for the time with care and genuine, human connection. Her expertise has been a much-needed balm for me, especially this past year.

Lisa was just an incredible person to work with. I work in the health care industry and was feeling like I was going to lose my mind with the COVID-19 virus first and second wave, she was just the best person for me during this time. She guides you on how to work with your feelings and grow from them, how to workout your brain and how you can train your thoughts to make life a little bit more manageable each day. I was suffering from crippling anxiety (that eventually turned into physical symptoms), panic attacks, depression and fatigue from work/COVID. She listens to you and reflects with you about how these situations are hard and that you have every right to these feelings. She also would provide a different perspective that would just help bring you back down to earth and reminds you that you are human and we can all grow from every hard situation and scenario. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Lisa and will always be grateful to her for the new perspective on life, and all of the new tools I have to help manage life which has made me feel like a better person. Thank you Lisa! I hope to reconnect with you soon!
