About me

Hello! Are you in need of professional support to help you uncover your true potential necessary for confronting and defeating a difficult situation? If you answered yes, then you have come to the right place!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 19 years of counseling experience. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have had the privilege of working with couples and families, too. I have worked with diverse clients of all ages and stages of life with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, labile mood, abuse, trauma, bereavement, parenting problems, relationships, anger management, conflict resolution, separation anxiety issues, learning disabilities, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder and more. In addition, I am working towards my Substance Abuse Counselor Certification (CSAC Supervisee) and work with individuals diagnosed with co-occurring mental health diagnoses and substance use issues. My awareness of cross-cultural understanding grows continually and I highly respect individuals who come from different cultural backgrounds.

My counseling style is positive and interactive within an environment that is safe and non-judgmental. I believe in treating everyone with respect and kindness.

Through a client-centered approach, I empower and motivate clients to develop greater independence to cope with current and future problems they may encounter. However, I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. I use an integrated approach as well as customize treatment based on an individual’s unique needs to address each person as a whole.

You have already made the first step by seeking help! Change takes courage! If you are ready to take the next step to make changes in your life, then I am here to help you on your journey.

I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Lisa has been exceptionally helpful through my therapy process. We’ve been having sessions for a few months and she is so caring and thoughtful in her work. I feel a lot of empathy from her. I’ve been through a few therapists on here and on other apps and she’s by far my favorite. Highly reccommend!
