About Me

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed and Certified in Grief & Loss with over 6 years of experience working with couples, families and individuals. I strive to provide compassionate, effective and evidence-based clinical psychotherapy and counseling services to meet the mental health needs of individuals of all ages, with the goal of maximizing personal potential and increasing resilience in the face of adversity.

Some people say everything happens for a reason. How can that be if what happened broke you? Sure, you can put on a happy face and pretend that things are alright, but on the inside you know things are anything but alright. You may find yourself crying uncontrollably, experiencing extreme rage, or drowning your sorrows with destructive behaviors. Let's work together to get things straightened out. Emotions are hard to handle, particularly when accompanied by past traumas. We feel overwhelmed, underprepared, and generally inept to handle what life is throwing our way. Yet, we know we must move on.

Together, you and I can gently review life's toughest issues. With an unconditionally accepting ear, I will help you see the way out of your trauma. Life is hard, but it can be better than it is right now. Confronting your past - overcoming your hurt - may be too difficult to do alone. As a counselor, I am trained to guide you through this process to make it as easy as possible while helping you get to a place of resolution. I want to help you find your way, learn to love yourself, and find your new normal.

Lisa has been extremely helpful already after only one session. She routinely writes me to check in with me and made a strong effort to schedule me even though she had been impacted the day before by a hurricane. I am very happy that Lisa listens well, confirms her understanding, and then offers suggestions and action plans to help me
