About me
My name is Lisa Walker. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have been in the field professionally for over six years. I enjoy utilizing the therapeutic models to include, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I began my career in the field of mental health and human services in 1997 after obtaining my Bachelor Degree. I have found the helping discipline very rewarding over the years. My years of experience of working in the community as a social worker and now as a therapist has provided the opportunity to observe and understand the various dynamics that life offers one from need and challenges to accomplishment and triumph. In my experience in working with diverse populations I am able to genuinely offer sympathy and empathy without compromising the therapeutic relationship. Our society today is in search of helpers who can relate, adapt and show genuine care. It is important for clients to feel safe, respected and understood when addressing their needs. Through my therapeutic approach I provide an environment of freedom and safety without judgement.

Lisa is an amazing listener. She provides feedback in a way that makes me think and process the same information in a different way. She's been extremely helpful for me as I process my grief in the midst of major life transitions.

Lisa is an amazing therapist and overall sweet human being! As someone who has had several negative experiences with therapy, working with Lisa was a breath of fresh air. I felt like I could be myself and received useful feedback on my problems. I would recommend her to anyone!
