I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the states of Nebraska, Colorado and Iowa. My experience began while serving in the USAF, in California, providing care to service members and their families struggling with Post Traumatic Stress, Anxiety, Substance Abuse and difficulty adjusting to military life. As my experience has expanded since leaving service, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals living with Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Personality Disorders and Severe Depression.
My counseling style has always been flexible and tailored to the person I am working with while ensuring we are following a model of therapy that is researched and shown to be successful. I have extensive training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care and in working with the LGBTQ population. I prefer an approach that highlights your strengths and follows your lead. I have no experience working with children, however I do have an interest area of working with struggling parents. With 2 children of my own and education in early childhood development I would love to begin working to help others navigate the world of parenting.
Whether you are wanting to navigate an unexpected life event, get a handle on life long anxiety or process through events from your past that still effect you today, I believe I can help you and fully believe everyone can recover.

She is so helpful. It feels like I’m messaging a friend, just one that has all the right things to say.
She's my favorite counselor.
I've only had a few sessions with Lisa so far but I truly appreciate her patience with me. She takes the time to listen and truly understand what's going on with me.
Lisa is a wonderful counsellor, she is supportive and able to provide me with tools to navigate my thought patterns and emotions. She has shown me how far I have progressed since I first started speaking with her and the obstacles I have overcome, which I am incredibly grateful for.
I appreciate all the help Lisa Watson has given me. She responds to all my messages and she calms me down. Even if I don't feel like I am worth her time, she makes me feel that I am and we work on the issues at hand!
Lisa is a great counselor.
In working with Lisa I feel that she truly cares about helping me with my problems. Her approach is rooted in knowledge and proven techniques and gives clear direction in the course that we are going. I could not be more pleased with her and the help I'm receiving.
You are amazing at what you do! I thank you for taking he test and effort you put into me. Couldn't have asked for a better person to help me.
Lisa has helped me get a grip on my current place in life and how my past has shaped who I am. Her worksheets are both educational and extremely helpful. I feel comfortable telling her everything about my past and what I am currently going through, even in detail. It has only been about a month (I think) since we started and I already notice improvements in myself. Lisa is a very good match for me!
Lisa is an AMAZING therapist and individual! She is so easy to talk to, and I feel like she taught me more about therapy in general in the first few days than the last 15 years of therapy off and on have ever taught me.
I like talking with her and I feel very comfortable and important when I talk to her.
So far Lisa Watson had been extremely helpful and respectful, I feel with just the short amount that I've talked with Lisa I have noticed a tone of progress with myself and I would recommend her to anyone who would be looking for better help.
She's amazing, I love her.
Lisa is absolutely amazing! She is so responsive and helpful, I wish I would have found her years ago! She takes a personal interest in your well being, she wants you to do better, and it shows. In the short time I have been talking with Lisa, I have seen such a big improvement on my coping skills and self care. She has made it so much easier for me to get through what I'm going through. I am absolutely so grateful for her good work.
Lisa has been the best!! She understands what I need, when I need it and how to address it. Her live chat sessions have really helped me and she’s given me many resources to help me on my journey. She has really opened my eyes and brain to different ways of thinking. HIGHLY recommend!!
Lisa has been a tremendous help with my anxiety and the many ways it manifests itself in my life. She has helped me cope with my sleep and even though it has only been a few weeks, she has shown me many steps tontake towards a healthier mindset. I highly recommend her!
Lisa has been amazing to work with, she identifies things that need to be worked on right away and what can wait. I'd recommend her to anyone seeking help with a relationship.
