Hello and welcome!
My name is Lisa Williams. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico. I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado at Denver. I have over 24 years of experience in a variety of settings helping people with various issues, such as depression and anxiety, post-traumatic stress, trauma/abuse, life changes/transitions, relationship difficulty, and other issues.
Everyone is different and has different needs at different times, so the type of therapy used is customized. The most helpful approaches are usually Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, trauma informed models, Solution Focused therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and narrative therapies. It can be so helpful to feel understood and to have someone on your side to help navigate any changes you want to make. Sometimes we can make big or small life changes. Sometimes we accept things as they are and find ways to still have the life we want. My style is to understand you and what your going through, help you with self-understanding, and work together to make changes or add skills to meet your personal goals.
Life can be hard! We all need help sometimes. It would be my honor to work together with you to help navigate life's difficulties.

Lisa is a wonderful therapist. She validates my feelings, provides insight, and asks thought-provoking questions. She is also very responsive. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone!
Lisa is always warm and supportive. She asks great questions and presents such a helpful perspective.
Lisa has helped me so much over the past year an a half. This experience with counseling has truly helped me make it through one of the hardest years of my life and it has opened me up to the world of therapy. I could not recommend Lisa or BetterHelp enough.
In a short amount of time working with Lisa, I’m feeling more fulfilled, confident and able to handle difficult situations that I used to avoid while harboring resentment and anger. Lisa is a gem!
Lisa has been very helpful. she has helped me work through a lot of issues ever since my son went to treatment. I feel she really listens to me and my concerns. I would recommend her counseling to anyone that needs it
Lisa has helped me improve in a short time and I enjoy her views on how to be a better person. I was not sure on talking with anyone but she has been unbelievably understanding!
I have just started having sessions with Lisa again after exchanging a few messages months ago when I was going through a stressful time. She checked in with me about a month after this happened to make sure I was okay, to which I, unfortunately, couldn't reply to as I wasn't using betterhelp. I think she is a very skilled and knowledgeable therapist, a kind person, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with her!
She is wonderful, intelligent and considerate, I absolutely adore her
Lisa is incredible thorough in her questions and responses and I really appreciate that. A lot of the time I don't know what to say so to have some guidance helps a lot. I feel very respected and heard when talking to her. It's so difficult to find a counselor you feel comfortable with so I feel incredibly lucky to have found Lisa. She really empathizes with me and it feels true. I look forward to continuing my journey with her.
I appreciate Lisa and her kind words, she also has opened up my way of thinking and also has helped me take a step back in how I view trust, sharing thoughts, and living in the present.
She has been very helpful in helping me cope and deal with my current situation. She also responds to messages and checks in to see how things are going. It is very nice to have someone dependable to talk to especially when you need it the most.
