Hi. My name is Lisa Wing. I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor in Maine with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field in many different roles. I have worked with people from all walks of life, including young adults, adults, veterans, and those in the LGBTQ community.
In addition to my professional experience, I have received training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, DBT, CBT, Solution Focused therapy, PTSD, Reality Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I have been a licensed clinician for the past nine years and have developed a uniquely effective style of therapy. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, and solution focused therapy-focusing on solutions that work with your current circumstances. I work with my clients to develop a treatment plan, with the understanding that my client is the most important person in their treatment. Lisa has been an amazing help to me. I have been talking with her and doing CBT and I can see a huge difference in my introspection and awareness. She has a no BS no sugar coating approach and knows how to help you get down to the root of the problem. I have had many mental health care professionals in the past, all of which rushed into a diagnosis and medication. Although I have been with Better Help for almost 1.5 years, my previous therapist had to take a new Covid- related assignment, and I selected Lisa Wing just a few weeks ago. She is slowly getting to know my complicated and large family life, and already is setting some challenges for me to achieve. Goals are so important for me, and I am grateful that Lisa has already established those with me! She seems to have a very practical approach with me, and although I am delayed by some personal challenges, Lisa regularly reminds me about the importance of becoming more organized, and I’m very grateful for her perseverance with me!
