About me

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Texas and Michigan with over 13 years of experience assisting clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, relationship and family issues, life change difficulties, and many other concerns. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology (2009) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2007) from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. I am passionate about my work and believe that counseling is a personal journey that offers the opportunity for growth and change that can lead to clients’ fullest potential and enhanced quality of life.

My therapeutic style involves a solution-focused, client-centered approach, while helping clients to set realistic, attainable goals, teaching them necessary coping skills and tools, while guiding them through the process of change, growth, and healing, within a safe nonjudgmental, compassionate environment. It takes courage to reach out for help and I am here ready to guide and support you in this process.

I look forward to working with you!

Lois, was very helpful in a chapter of my life that was perhaps brief but very intense. She provided plenty of information to help and a very safe space from the get go. I thank her a lot for helping me!

I worked with Lois for a year during the pandemic, she really helped me through some tough things and I was able to "graduate" and venture out on my own. I did well managing life with the skills and practices she helped me with. I am struggling a bit more these days and she is the first person I could think of that could help me again. Self work isn't ever finished, just the support we need and the amount we need can be less and can be more. Right now I need more and I am grateful to be able to work with Lois through it. She is truly amazing.
