I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor from Puerto Rico practicing in Florida, USA. I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology at The Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. In addition to my education, I have certifications in Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and The Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). With over two years of experience as a Mental Health Coordinator and five years of experience as a Psychotherapist, my focus has been on helping families by teaching them healthy boundaries and assertive communication skills. I strongly believe that mental health encompasses more than just the absence of illness; it involves nurturing virtues, justice, and character strengths like open-mindedness, authenticity, kindness, self-regulation, and gratitude.
