In the short time I’ve been having therapy with Lorraine I’ve finally begun addressing and working through the parts of me I’ve let rule and ruin my life. Lorraine provides a safe space for me to open up, identify unhealthy thought processes and challenges me to find practical solutions to changing the behaviours which are no longer beneficial to the life I want to lead. From the first session i found Lorraine super easy to talk to, I felt understood for the first time in my adult life, and have come to realise I have the inner ability to make positive changes in my life despite my past experiences which have inevitably held me back in a lot of areas of my life. Providing me with theory I can understand behind my behaviours allows me to go away and further develop my knowledge of what is happening behind the scenes in my mind and body, enabling me to now begin catching those behaviours so I can seek to change for the better. I thought therapy was all doom and gloom, but with Lorraine it’s like talking with a wise and supportive friend who I can laugh with and who shares her own personal experiences to make me feel like I’m not alone in what I’ve experienced or going through, and to show me there is light at the end of the tunnel. I’m so grateful to have found Lorraine as a therapist and I highly recommend anyone who’s struggling to take that first daunting step in seeking therapy!
