About me

I have been working with people who struggle with life's challenges since 2002 and over time I have found that when people are struggling the most is when they have the hardest time reaching out for help, so it always amazes me when an individual has the wisdom and insight to do so. Knowing how difficult that is I find it an honor when asked to join anyone in their quest for peace and serenity. So first I would like to thank you for your consideration.

I started my career working with people who struggle with substance abuse. Over time I have broadened my scope of practice and have worked with a broad range of mental health issues, everything from depression to schizophrenia, and what I have noticed is that many of the issues that result in mental health concerns are caused by trauma. While everyone may not have had experienced the horrors of abuse, war, tragedy, or disaster there are many other forms of trauma that often are overlooked. The little things in life that build up and leave us feeling empty and alone. Using an Humanistic approach I work with clients to heal those trauma's, great or small, and attempt to reduce the distress that so many people feel in life.

Past events so often effect how we experience our present circumstances and often interfere with our ability to experience joy or happiness. As a result our relationships get strained and don't feel as comforting as they once were, or perhaps they have never been comfortable. If you feel like this resonates with you, contact me. I believe that you have the internal wisdom to turn this around and just need some assistance tapping into that wisdom. I have a strength based approach and work with clients to find and use their strengths so that they gain confidence in their ability to cope with any given situation and not need to rely on a therapist.

I believe that meaningful relationships are paramount to an individuals health and well-being. Many of us, for one reason or another, find these relationships challenging. Whether you need assistance in creating, navigating or maintaining these relationships you should reach out and contact someone who can help.
