About me

Welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maine and Massachusetts. I graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. My background is diverse and has often helped me offer a unique perspective. For 10 years, I worked with adults, adolescents and children through Child Welfare services in two different states. For about 8 years following that, I did intensive in-home therapy and outpatient therapy with adults, adolescents and children. In 2019, I shifted my focus exclusively to adults and I am currently specializing in caring for veterans. I’ve worked extensively with people in crisis as well as with professionals in crisis-oriented jobs such as medical staff, military personnel, law enforcement, etc. I’m experienced with treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), ACT, Existential Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and more. My areas of expertise include grief/loss, relationship issues, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, abuse/neglect issues, eating disorders, and LGBTQIA issues. I also enjoy providing life-coaching for people who are seeking and forging new paths for themselves and who are looking for some clarity and support along their journey.

I believe that therapy is an organic process that should be positive, inspiring, and even fun (yes, fun!) whenever possible. My approach includes listening empathetically while you identify your needs, teaming with you to create a plan, then sharing tools and suggestions to try to help you achieve your goals. At any time during this process, I invite you to let me know if we need to shift gears or change direction. I also invite you to please share feedback at any time if something isn’t working for you so that we can explore other possibilities together. Please schedule an appointment with me at your earliest convenience and we’ll get started. I’m excited to work with you!
