About me

Hi, thanks for visiting my profile page. My name is Mai-Trinh Tran, I go by Trinh. I am licensed to practice counseling in Texas and since 2016, on a part-time basis, have been helping various population groups in dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, motivation, self-esteem, & confidence. It has been a privilege for me to work with women survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking. I also enjoy accompanying the young adult population facing challenges relating to sexual behaviors, intergenerational issues, and family dynamics and boundaries. My approach is based on the belief that you are the expert of your story and you have the resiliency and strength to overcome life challenges. My part is to help you discover such strengths and develop concrete plans leading to a healthy self-image and lifestyle. I also believe that as humans, we have choices and are responsible for our decision-making. It is a matter of creating and intentionally taking on choices that are best for you – even when circumstances seemingly dictate otherwise. I am glad that you are here. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy is a huge undertaking and I wish you peace and courage!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Mai-Trinh Tran. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Mai-Trinh has been an excellent therapist. What has impressed me most is her ability to adapt in real time. During one of our sessions, my thought process shifted significantly, and instead of trying to force the conversation back to the original plan, she recognized the change, reviewed her notes, and adjusted her approach immediately.

That flexibility made me feel heard and understood. She doesn’t just follow a script—she listens, observes, and responds to where you are in the moment. As someone who processes ideas quickly and works through complex challenges, having a therapist who can move with that process has been invaluable.

I appreciate her professionalism, her attentiveness, and her willingness to meet me where I am while still helping me stay focused on what matters. If you’re looking for someone who truly listens, thinks critically, and can adapt to your needs in real time, I highly recommend Mai-Trinh.

She knows what she is doing with her client. The most important point is to make client confident to share their thought. After that, she will make a topic of your issue, transparency point to point.
