About me

Hello there!
I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge your bravery and taking the bold step to reach out for help. You are one of a few people who has overcome barriers in seeking mental health support and I believe that you will get the help that you need. If you are committed to being open and working with me or another counselor towards your progress, I am confident that you will incorporate the skills, strategies, and tools you learn to empower yourself in this human journey that we all experience.

While I do utilize evidenced based practices such as CBT, solution focused therapy, person centered approach, and other treatment interventions, I develop a special connection to every client as a unique individual who has their own special life experience. This allows me to tailor your treatment plan specially to you, your concerns and needs, and the areas where you may benefit from personal growth and development.
In working together we will examine the core beliefs, wounds and stories that are blocking you from living your best life! I have a deep commitment to the wellness of my clients and I aim to respect your perspectives and emotions at all times. It is a great honor to be allowed into your personal world and support you in a shared space where you get to be vulnerable and authentic while doing your personal work.
If you want your therapist to be open, warm, with a good sense of humor as well as a comprehensive understanding of psychological tenets, we may be a good fit.

Therapy is deep tissue emotional work and the process can sometimes be uncomfortable. I try to balance the seriousness with lightness as I firmly believe you are on a journey of freedom and fun! The therapeutic process can be exciting as we grow past our comfort zone, shed restraining beliefs and expand our minds and hearts to new opportunities of self discovery.

My specialties include couples counseling, relationship issues, anxiety and OCD as well as life transitions and workplace stress. I am also a certified women’s relationship coach so if you’re looking to improve your interpersonal connections, we could be a good fit to work together.

If you are looking for a counselor in Wisconsin, I encourage you to consider several professionals here and try to find one who will be a right match for you.

With gratitude,
Malena

I'm grateful for my exceptional therapist. She not only motivates me to be my best but also inspires valuable insights for the week ahead. Working through the blindspots she points out has changed my perspective and fostered tremendous growth. Caring, delightful, and an expert, she has been instrumental in guiding me toward the life I want.

Written on Jun 13, 2023 after therapy with Malena for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, sleeping disorders, parenting issues, self esteem, anger management, career difficulties, and adhd

I started seeing Dr. Taylor in Early June 2020 to address issues with depression , anxiety , relationship issues , and overall satisfaction with my career / life etc ..
I can say in the short time I worked with Dr. Taylor she helped me to understand how better to cope with my grief , put myself first in both my platonic/ romantic relationships by setting boundaries , and start thinking about myself positively as I work to improve my satisfaction with myself and my life in general . Dr. Taylor is amazing at listening and providing sound , professional advice while remaining relatable and neutral . She gave me space to work through my emotions and feelings , while encouraging me to change my perception and point of view when reflecting on difficult situations . I felt empowered while working with her and I hope to work with her in the future, if needed.

Dr. Taylor is someone who really puts effort into understanding her clients. She is someone who takes time to review things that have been spoken about and is very respectful towards her client. Dr. Taylor provides useful thinking models and suggestions tailored to her clients preferences and needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for help or just someone to talk your mind through.
