About me

I am an LCSW based out of Denver, Colorado and have been working in the social work field for 8 years. I have worked with clients challenged by depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and histories of trauma. I believe every person's story deserves to be heard and work to give my clients a space to feel seen and safe, approaching each session with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
My therapeutic approach utilizes the modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy to explore the purpose behind behaviors and connect these with our feelings and histories. I work to build a collaborative relationship with clients in order to empower them to take action for making changes.

Hands down, the most impactful and helpful mental health professional I’ve worked with. Unbelievable guidance and unwavering support, validation and communication. Malina has been my safe place these last few weeks and it has shown in other areas of my life in terms of feeling like someone’s got my back. I’ve felt more empowered to make choices, engage in behaviors and create shifts towards a healthier life. Thank you, again & again.

Malina is smart, attentive, deeply empathetic, and an incredible listener. She has an uncanny ability to cut to the heart of issue with careful and thoughtful questions. She is willing to challenge me in a way that forces me to be honest with myself without causing me to feel undo shame.

I really look forward to my weekly sessions with Malina, and feel like I've made more progress with her in two sessions that I have with my previous therapist in several months. In short, Malina is a fantastic human and therapist and I highly recommend you work with her if you have the opportunity!

Malina is fantastic! She is insightful and able to cut through muddled layers to the heart of the matter. She asks thoughtful questions that have me exploring and learning. She is kind and supportive while also challenging me to dig deeper.

Malina saved my life. I lost someone I loved suddenly and the grief from that loss became too much for me to hold. I had plans to end my life, but then I decided to give therapy a try, a last ditch effort, that’s when I was matched with Malina. During that first session, she created a space where I could bring everything I was feeling, thinking and going through, and just set it down. She took some of the weight off of my shoulders, and encouraged me to keep pushing forward. She has saved my life, even though I still battle the overwhelming grief everyday, I am no longer fighting with it alone, and that, that is everything. I owe her my life.
