If you are looking for a seasoned, versatile, pragmatic and easy to talk to therapist focused on helping you improve or solve whatever issue(s) you face, I am ready to help when you are. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a PhD in Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy certification from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, 13 years of very diverse therapeutic experience and 25 years of corporate experience. My practice approach centers on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Research shows that CBT is the gold standard for addressing depression and anxiety-related issues and both are very easy to understand and apply, taking the mystery out of understanding what is going on and how to improve it. Both entail working collaboratively in a structured and pragmatic way to identify and replace self-defeating thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to the problem. They put an emphasis on here and now solutions and include utilizing concrete strategies and tools that can enable you to cope effectively with your current situation as well as determining and taking steps toward a better future. Both are meant to be short-term and focused on empowering you to become your own therapist. My clients appreciate how present and attentive I am and generally everyone is surprised by my ability to remember details of our previous sessions without looking at my notes, making them feel very seen, heard and remembered.

Marcia is the best therapist I’ve ever had and I’ve been seeking help in therapy all my life in the US and abroad. She is truly a guiding light in the darkness that will help you find your own light.
Dr. Garceau is by far one of the best humans I have had the pleasure of talking too. Genuine concern and warmth when working with me and all facets of my individual therapy journey. I'm glad I finally reached out for help and Dr. Garceau was there with steady support and insight.
One of the best therapists ive ever had
I’ve only just started but I already love the entire system and absolutely loved my first session with my therapist. Happy to continue on this journey.
Dr. Garceau is so great to work with. Therapy with her is so much more than venting about my feelings to a listening ear. She helps come up with strategies to cope with difficult situations and gain confidence & self awareness on a daily basis.
