About me

I am a Licensed Master's Level Social Worker with over 20 years experience working with adults and children. I graduated with a mental health concentration from an accredited university and have acquired extensive experience working with people who have experienced depression and anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, as well as a multitude of others disorders that may have an impact on ones ability to function to their full potential.
As a clinical therapist, I know that everyone comes with their own unique and personal experiences. I meet people where they are at in their life journey with a person centered and guided cognitive behavioral approach. I understand and respect that beginning the process of therapy is a courageous act for anyone, and that people are more than their problem or presenting situation. I believe that people have all they need to achieve their goals from within and that they just need someone to help access and utilize the tools and skills needed to overcome their presenting obstacles and challenges.

She has a great understanding of the issues that concern me. She is also willing to send additional information or read up on something she may not have all the answers to.

She balances listening with education. She balances positive feedback with comments on ideal practices that help me see a path toward behavior and habit change. She also encourages me to draw my own conclusions after giving me the resources to understand my thought patterns.

Marcy is very helpful, kind and understanding. I never feel like she is judging me for the information I share about me or my personal life and she delivers excellent advice on how to cope or improve my lifestyle and my relationship. She has a genuine character and I feel extremely comfortable with her and always feel better after I have a session with her. I’m very grateful to have Marcy as a confidant and that she is my counselor to help guide me to process my emotions and develop skills/tactics to have a more flourishing, productive, happy life.
