I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of Margaret Hood Black & Associates, PC. My special interest is in keeping families together, despite infidelity, depression, anger, addiction, or even due to an out of control teenager! My professional areas of interest and expertise include pre-marital and marital counseling, ADHD, parenting and oppositional teenage boys. I enjoy a challenge and like working with the resistant adolescent boys, cutters, marital affairs, women and dreams.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. I have a great working relationship with all of my clientele and they say that I am easy to talk to and make them feel comfortable very quickly. My approach combines psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic approaches, with tailoring our sessions to meet your unique and specific needs.
