Margaret Millhench, LPC
About me
Welcome! My name is Margaret Millhench. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan for seven years. I have worked with college students and clients on a part-time basis from home. The presenting issues have included anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, career difficulties, relationship struggles and life changes to name a few. I also helped many women experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault.
My counseling style is humanistic and person centered with a holistic approach using the body with the mind. Emotional blocks are held in the body from past traumas. In the beginning, depending on your real needs and readiness, we would work to develop trust and support with coping skills. I would use centering and grounding techniques to help create a sense of safety. Eventually, I would use psycho-dynamic, somatic and mindfulness techniques to help express the language of the body. I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. Treatment would follow your real needs.
I hope to have the opportunity to meet you!

Margaret is absolutely wonderful! Such a great listener and supportive. Her somatic approach is exactly what I’ve needed, and in the year we have worked together I have had tremendous growth and breakthroughs with her help! I highly highly reccomend her.

I was divinely directed to Margaret, as I was looking for an ex-therapist of mine when she and I became matched.
I am so grateful! Margaret actually understands me and all I've experienced. She is super supportive ~ not to mention learned.
It's like I signed up for classes in this life that I had no previous grounding in. Margaret is the tutor who guides me to the understanding of big life lessons by making them simple and straightforward.
In my 35 years of seeking therapy off-and-on, Margaret is by far the best therapist I've worked with. I cannot say enough about how she is helping me to work out severely harmful experiences going back 6 decades.
It is really never too late!
