I am an experienced therapist with advanced training in strengths-based, solution-focused, and integrated behavioral-focused therapies with a strong focus on skill-building. I have a master’s degree from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, with a mental health specialty. I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 30 years. My experience in those three decades convinced me that we often learn problem behaviors that negatively impact our quality of life. I'm also convinced that many of these behaviors occur because of skill deficits. Working together, you can learn better ways to address the challenges in your life.
I practice a type of therapy that aims to help clients accept what is out of their control, and commit instead to actions that enrich their lives. Our goal is to help you create a rich and meaningful life and develop mindfulness skills alongside the existence of pain and suffering.

I have specialized experience in several areas including depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, relationship, and career/workplace issues. I am successful in working with individuals who are struggling with behavioral contributors to insomnia, chronic pain, diabetes, and other chronic medical conditions. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. More importantly, however, I know that whatever the intervention, the real change comes from you and strengths that you may not be currently aware of.
