About me

I am an experienced therapist, licensed in Maryland, Missouri, and Kansas. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I am privileged to work with those who have taken the first steps toward change, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines strengths-based, acceptance and commitment, person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused therapies with a strong focus on skill-building. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I practice a type of therapy that aims to help clients accept what is out of their control, and commit instead to actions that enrich their lives. Our goal is to help you create a rich and meaningful life.

I have specialized experience in several areas including depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, relationship, and career/workplace issues. I am also successful in working with individuals who are struggling with behavioral contributors to insomnia, chronic pain, diabetes, and other chronic medical conditions. More importantly, however, I know that whatever the intervention, the real change comes from you and strengths that you may not be currently aware of.

I have a master’s degree from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. I have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 30 years. I engage with clients with admiration and respect in their journey to a better quality of life. I look forward to hearing your story and concerns and working with you to develop new skills and find solutions.

I have been described as supportive, direct, caring, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize them. I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. You have taken the first and most important step by reaching out for help.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

Peggy is not only a great therapist but a great friend. She provides the most sound and helpful advice to what you're dealing with in life. I started having panic attacks and I went to betterhelp and with Peggy I got my life back and made challenging goals become normal everyday activities. I can call Peggy a good friend of mine. If you're struggling with anxiety or depression, Peggy will make you feel at home. I highly recommend Peggy

Peggy is very sweet and a great listener, she mostly let's you talk and just responds with helpful ways to handle your issues. Something a lot of therapists aren't very good at but it seems to come naturally to her, you could talk through the entire session with no interruption and she hangs on every word!
