But first, a little bit about me. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida and Texas and I have been working in the behavioral health field since 2000. I have experience in both, inpatient and outpatient settings, and throughout the years have worked with a variety of clients and problems. Some examples of issues I help with include depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, parenting challenges, career difficulties, adjusting to life changes, grief/loss, compassion fatigue, physical disabilities, trauma, abuse, crisis situations…among others. In terms of clients, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, including geriatric clients and pregnant women/new mothers. I also have experience with the military community, to include clients who are active duty, military dependents, and veterans. I am bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
You are probably wondering what to expect from our therapeutic relationship, so I’d like to take a moment to give you a basic idea. I use a patient-centered approach with my clients, meaning that I respect and take into consideration their preferences, beliefs, and values when designing treatment plan and goals. For me to know and understand what those are, I do ask a lot of questions, especially in the beginning of our therapeutic relationship. Based on what I learn about my client’s unique needs and perspective, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches that fit the situation. Some examples include cognitive-behavioral therapies (including subtypes such as mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and dialectical behavior therapy), solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and family systems therapy.
I meet clients where they are at and, together as a team, we develop goals, track progress, overcome challenges, and celebrate successes. As we work through the issues in therapy, we might engage in deep, reflective discussions at times. Sessions might also involve some form of “homework assignment” where the clients get to practice or develop new coping skills outside of therapy, or sometimes gain new insight into their problems, and then have the opportunity to discuss outcome and provide feedback on the next session.
I am looking forward to discussing more with you and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. My goal is to support your journey to optimal wellbeing.

I have been working with Ms. Perdomo-Torres for a month now, and I can truly say that she is already helping me deal with my anxiety, low self-esteem, and other struggles in a very efficient and kind way. She truly listens to me and has my best interests in mind. I would recommend her to anyone.
She's been helpful in dealing with my current problems and her advice has helped me in times of high stress.
She listens to my concerns and we discuss a variety of ways to improve and she is supportive and also available when I need her. Would totally recommend her.
