Accommodating and practical

Maria is THE BEST. Supportive and extremely helpful, she "really listens" to me and gives me access to helpful materials as well. I'm very glad she is my therapist.

Maria is fantastic. She always takes her time with me and listens to me and it makes me feel heard and seen. Even if that means we are a little late sometimes getting off of our call. I would recommend her to anyone and I have recommended better help to people because of this experience with her.

Awesome beyond words

Written on Dec 08, 2025 after therapy with Maria for 2 years and 1 month on issues concerning relationship issues, and coping with life changes

Maria is so experienced that she is like the equivalent of a psychological engineer. I’ve worked with other therapists before, but Maria Rivera is on another level.

Just deep understanding and presence.

Maria is not there compassionately but to give insight; Her approach is both scientific and soulful. Somehow, she connects the dots in ways that make everything start to make sense. Every session feels like progress, not just “talk.”

She balances compassion with honesty, and she knows exactly when to gently challenge you or help you look at something from a new angle.

You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and believes in the work she does. She’s warm, insightful, and professional, but also deeply human..And that makes such a difference.
