About me
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Alabama, and I also have a doctorate degree in counselor education. I teach master’s students how to become counselors. I have had the opportunity of gaining experience in counseling people with diverse needs including substance abuse and addiction, depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, and coping with life changes. I have also helped clients who have experienced trauma and abuse, family conflicts, and anger management issues.
I offer individual and family counseling. I provide a comprehensive approach to treatment that focuses on the entire human being and their life experiences to improve overall mental well-being. I use a person-centered approach to counseling with an emphasis on the needs or desires of the client. I incorporate techniques in the counseling process that include cognitive-behavioral, and psychoeducational approaches. It is my responsibility to provide my clients with a safe environment that helps to promote growth where the client feels secure and free to express him/herself in a real, true, and open way. The overall goal of mental health therapy is to help clients better understand and manage how to overcome life’s challenges.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Maria Rogers. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
She is very considerate of my feelings and definitely finds ways to help me when needed rather it be things to read or groups to participate in. Her main focus is on me and my well being
She has been very helpful in my therapy as well as attentive to my needs.
She also can identify point of views that I sometimes didn't take account to and help me realize things I didn't consider
Very understanding and supportive and offers ways to help make the situation easier to work with.
Dr. Roger's has been incredible for me. She makes sure she's working towards the goals that I have set and reaches out to touch base frequently. I don't feel she's ever rushing and genuinely cares about seeing me happy. Highly recommend!
Dr. Rogers is amazing! I highly recommend her. I love that she checks in on you outside of sessions. It shows that she is really invested in your journey.
I felt really calm with her, and she’s the first one who actually knows how i feel. She’s a brilliant doctor
She’s an actual angel
Dr. Rogers has been compassionate and astute since the day I first met her for my first session. She provides critical support by listening actively and provides the right advice. She has created a safe space where I can talk about anything and be heard always. I really appreciate her ability to go with my flow as I sporadically share what I am going through in bits and pieces which I can imagine as something difficult to council on and provide support hehehe.
We've had two sessions together and so far I'm very pleased with Dr. Rogers and I plan on continuing with her.
Dr Rogers is Amazing! I’m genuinely enjoying therapy because of her
