About me

Hi, I’m Marilyn

Thanks for checking out my profile.

I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker with 12 years of experience licensed in Ohio. I have worked with a variety of agencies specializing in trauma, grief and working with people who have addictions. I have helped clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grieving, social interactions, personality disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

My counseling style is gentle and interactive. I believe in working together to find strategies and solutions that work for you and your specific situation. I have experience with various types of therapy including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Psychotherapy. What I find that tends to work best is active listening and engaging. Sometimes finding what is at the core of our problems happens when we least expect it. The therapy techniques merely help us make sense of what we are thinking and feeling. Change may occur as a result of consistent journaling, mindfulness, music or a combination of these or other interventions. Each person is different and unique.
I would love to meet with you and accompany you on your journey to set and accomplish your personal goals.
