About me

I have been a clinical social worker for 43 years, I am currently licensed in Florida and have practiced in a variety of settings (in New York State and Florida) including psychiatric social work (both inpatient and outpatient), hospice, long term care (nursing home), and community mental health. I am currently an adjunct faculty member at an undergraduate online university based in southern California in a Bachelor of Social Work program and have also taught in graduate human services and social work degree programs (online and face-to-face). I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology, a master's degree in social work, and my PhD is in Human Services with a Specialization in Social and Community Services. I am a U.S. Navy veteran and an ordained Episcopal deacon. I am experienced in helping clients with stress and anxiety, lgbtq+ related issues, trauma and abuse, & coping with grief and loss. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
