Mark Shokair, LMFT
About me
Hello there, my name is Mark Shokair and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I hold a masters degree in counseling psychology from California State University East Bay. I've been working in the mental health field for more than 15 years. During that time I have worked with many different populations including children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. I have worked with varying levels of severity ranging from mild dysfunction to severe disorders. Currently I work in a private practice setting with people who struggle with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger management, work problems and relationship problems.
I tailor my approach to each client individually to help each individual achieve their goals. Sometimes people want to change the way they think, others simply want to feel better. There are times when you feel stuck where life just isn't working and you need to do something different to keep moving forward. In order to help each individual achieve their goals I use varying modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused and Insight Oriented Techniques. Whatever challenges we face in life we can find the answers. Let's work together to get your life moving again. I look forward to speaking with you.
