About me

I am a Christian Psychotherapist trained by a Psychologist in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Therapy and can walk you through how to reduce symptoms and regain self-control and feel and act better. I have degrees from the Institute For Christian Studies at the University of Texas and Christian Theological Seminary and have been in practice for over twenty years serving both those inside and outside the Church. . I can promise very comfortable and conversational, not clinical and intellectualized, sessions that will hopefully get you unstuck and back moving productively forward with greater insight and living effectively. again.

I have worked in a variety of settings, including as a Civilian Psychotherapist on military bases, in Japan, Africa and Guam, and am licensed in Texas, Alabama and Indiana,

You can "interview" me by either listening to one of my podcast episodes on YouTube under "The Comfortable Couch" or reading through one of my books on Amazon. I have recently finished publishing "Taming Your Tigers: A Comprehensive Walk-Thru of Consequence Based Discipline" that is a clear and simple guide to improving your experience as a parent and getting better behaviors from your children. I also have "Toxic Words: 20 Things You Should Never Say To Yourself" on Amazon previously, a basic starting guide to learning better self-regulation through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I look forward to hearing from you and am ready to serve you in any way possible to make your faith work and feel better!

Mark has been a huge help for me. Helps me to see things with a little more clarity. He's also not afraid to challenge my current assumptions with new ways of thinking which is greatly appreciated. He's brash, which some people may not like, but is exactly what I need in a therapist. Someone who isn't afraid to say what they're thinking and someone to be genuinely themselves. Mark accomplishes that. I'm very grateful I got paired with him!
