About me

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor and Personal Development Coach with a background in counseling, teaching, and educational support. My journey has equipped me with a unique perspective on the challenges individuals and families face, particularly when it comes to navigating anxiety, depression, and communication issues. I’ve worked with clients of all ages, including couples, and I have seen firsthand how transformative therapy can be when we work together with intent and empathy. My approach centers around creating a safe, supportive space where healing and personal development can begin.

With a deep commitment to creating a safe and supportive space, my approach blends cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies, with a strong focus on each person’s personal development. I work with individuals and couples to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, and communication issues, while helping to strengthen relationships.

In our work together, you can expect a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that combines evidence-based strategies with a compassionate, holistic focus. Whether you’re looking to change long-standing patterns or build new coping mechanisms, my goal is to empower you to break free of old habits as you step into a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Marsha Edwards. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Marsha Edwards is a wonderful therapist. She is caring and listens very well because when she responds, it is clear that she has heard what is being said and offers insights that are relevant and provide clarity, which causes you to reflect. I like the fact that she does not offer solutions but rather listens well to provide responses which allows me to reflect on. Especially after the sessions are over, I can still refer to what we discussed. Also, the worksheets she shares are compelling. Mostly, I like the fact that she does not diminish what is being shared, and she does not provide a cookie-cutter response that can be found anywhere. Rather, when appropriate, she shares insights from her own experiences without oversharing, but enough to help me to think that life has lessons for us all.
