About me

I have been an elementary teacher (12 years), and a therapist for over 25 years. During this time, I have gained a vast knowledge in working with families and individuals. It is important to understand that we are all products of a particular family system and the influence that family has/had on our lives. Helping clients to make sense of their purpose in life and finding the optimum way to go about living, is paramount to me!
I am certified in TF-CBT therapy, which is helping those who have experienced sexual, physical, and emotional trauma to move past the devastating effects on their life. I also utilize cognitive behavioral approaches such as Choice Theory (William Glasser), REBT (Albert Ellis), and other therapeutic modalities to assist a client in understanding how their choices and thinking can change their daily lives.
My personal philosophy is that we become a therapeutic alliance together to problem solve and to gain insights into what is not working in your life, and then work collaboratively together to find effective change.
I also believe that building meaningful relationships in life can make life rewarding for anyone, and that it is possible to achieve this with guidance and effort.
Thankfully, I have been blessed in the ability to work with men, women, and children from all walks of life, cultures, and ages. They have given more to me than I ever was able to return to them. I like to believe that I can learn and grow each day from every interaction I am blessed to have with others. I'm hoping it will be you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Marshall Lynch, Jr.. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I have never felt so heard before, despite our different background and culture, I feel very much understood and seen, I’m comfortable sharing my challenges with Mr.Lynch and there’s always something new to learn and unlock in every session.
The tools and recommendations have been so valuable to me, even though it might be hard at times to face/ share some parts, I always feel lighter and calmer after our talk .

I am extremely grateful for meeting him. For every session he is always prepared well and he knows a lot of very strong questions, what makes you to think about yourself more deeply. And he will encourage you to make the best life decision what suits to you.

Marshall made me feel like he is there to support me through the struggles I am going through. He is solution oriented and always had the best intentions while listening to my concerns. I was able to brainstorm with him to find ways to make things easier for me. He was able to help me see things that sometimes we tend to overlook, and helped me learn things about ways I can tackle my problems effectively. During our sessions, he made me feel that his priority was my mental and overall well being. Empathetic and an excellent listener. He is well equipped in what he does. His calm demeanour is very refreshing. I can’t recommend him enough.
