About Me
I have 10 years of experience in mental health, worked in a hospital setting and in the community. I love using Psychodynamic and Self Psychology but do so in a CBT framework. Getting to know the self and understanding self is probably the best way to feel better about yourself and to "be the change you want to see." I can work with individuals of all ages and also with couples to address conflict resolutions, grief, anxiety, depression and other abnormal behaviors. Holding a PhD in Health Psychology gives me the knowledge and experience to treat clients on a biopsychosocial basis using the mind, body, and spirit or what I refer to as subtle energy integrators to make you well and stay well with alternative therapy approaches that can be done online with new technologies such as biofeedback.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Martin McQuilkin. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
This was a great decision.
Dr. M has been an invaluable partner to me, and helped me with tools, tips and perspective to address stress and anxiety that may come up periodically. “Recentering on big picture perspective when going through difficult times” is what I’d say he helped me with most. What a pleasure knowing such a great therapist. I look forward to working with Dr. M in the future if I need some support. Thx Dr. M!
Dr. McQuilkin is a great professional.
He's got a vast expertise, has dealt with multiple patients over the years and always offers great advice.
He's taught me a lot about the ego, self-esteem and confidence.
Little by little I'm slowly getting better and better.
Dr. McQuilkin has allowed me to view life from a new perspective. One that encourages my whole self to live without bounds. Live for the now.
when i kill myself this therapist’s name will be at the fucking top of my note tbh
Dr. McQuilkin has been amazing these past few months. He has a way of being able to “speak your language” so-to-speak and is able to get key concepts through. I’ve especially enjoyed the ‘Socratic method’ approach in conversation he’s used with me, because it allows me the chance to think through/out a concept or scenario in a way that I hadn’t before.
He’s been able to introduce me to a set of tools that help me to continue my journey of healing, without being reliant. I would definitely recommend Dr. McQuilkin to anyone who is looking to really work through their issues, just keep an open mind.

I am grateful to Dr. M for listening and advising me appropriately.
I feel connected and safe with Dr Martin.
Martin helped me to understand who I am and and tailered his approach to engage me with intellectual concepts that helped me improve my self confidence.
