About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 28 years of experience working as a psychotherapist in outpatient and hospital settings. I believe in hope which is a belief that change is possible and also expecting change to happen. Time to start living the life you envision for yourself!

The majority of my career was practiced in a community mental health setting which which provided excellent training in serving vulnerable populations. Working in community mental health has demanded that I became proficient in various evidence based treatment modalities(i.e cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, seeking safety, EMDR, mindfulness training, motivational interviewing ect) and treat a wide range of issues from depression, anxiety, sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence and severe and persistent mental illnesses. .

I am also a firm believer in client centered care meaning that treatment is driven by client needs rather than a more directive and therapist focused approach. I emphasize identifying and promoting the use of an individual's strengths while providing tools to overcome and resolve obstacles to growth.

I have extensive training in suicide prevention using cognitive behavioral therapy and the CALM technique therefore am comfortable working with vulnerable populations . I also specialize in treating traumas.

I look forward to working with you in your path to individual and emotional growth

So far she really listens bc I talk a lot. But she makes some interesting observations that I have never thought about. It gives me things to think about the following week
